Guest guest
I wasn't out during mine. They numbed me, but I was awake. I was just Thankful I didnt' have cancer. My mom was diagnosed with it last year. They wanted me to look at the screen while the did it. I know one thing for sure, if I was a doctor, I would not want to be a doctor that looks up peoples butts!Start the year off right. Easy ways to stay in shape in the new year. Guest guest
Hi Becky-- I'm so sorry. I had a very similar experience many years, around 6, ago when my pain issues first started. I wasn't totally out and could remember bits and pieces and was in excruciating pain. At one point I could hear them talking about how anxious I was. Hello!?!? Who wouldn't be anxious if they weren't totally out and someone was digging through their insides!!! > > Hi, > I had a colonoscopy yesterday and I woke up during the procedure in agonizing pain. I don't want to rehash it all again, but if you'd like, you can click on this link to read more about it: > > www.beckythorn.spaces.live.com > > My biggest need right now is how to handle further care under this GI doctor. I am scheduled for a follow-up in a month, but how can I keep going to him after this? Guest guest
Bless your heart, Becky. What an experience. Maybe you should tell the doctor that you want only him to do any procedures on you (if you still want that). If not, then see if you can switch to another doc. You don't have to allow a Fellow to work on you. I've tried to always be reasonable about Docs in training participating in my care...but sometimes you feel more comfortable drawing a line. Sounds like you at least have some answers to your stomach pains. Were they able to do anything about the kinks in your intestines?
