Guest guest
I wanted to mention that when I was had PT yesterday, Raquel (Raquel Perlis) was telling me that she had 19 clients a day and was booking new patients now in July. She felt really bad, because one woman was so upset yesterday that she hung up on their receptionist. There is so many women who need her help in the Boston area, and for one reason she is one of the few that take insurance. Someone asked me if I could put in a good word for them and see if I could get them in right away to see Raquel. Unfortunately I couldn’t, but as I explained to her - make your appointment now and wait the three months until your time comes up and then you can make your appointments permanently. I waited my three months before and eventually my time came up. I went to PT for three months until I had my surgery. I had all my appointments scheduled following surgery, but could not go until yesterday, so I just cancelled them a week or so in advance so someone else could take them. Yesterday when I was there I made my appointments until the end of November, and if as the doctor said he expects me to have to go for a couple of years, when I get to the summer months, then I will make more appointments. Unfortunately if something comes up and you can’t make your appointment, you are sort of stuck, you are put on their cancellation list, but it gives you very little notice if they call you. Also Raquel was telling me that I was the only PN patient she was taking because the skin rolling was so hard on her hands, because that is all she does for the whole hour on me (both internally and externally). But for others that are there she does other things than skin rolling. That was when she started telling me that her average patient is only there for twelve treatments. She treats primarily vestibulitis and problems with unable to have sex because of pain. She said she has a 95 percent success rate, as long as the patient is cooperative in everything she suggests. And for anyone who is embarrassed in just having a pap test done, you need to put all inhabitations aside, when you have this type of PT. If anyone lives in the Boston area and their vulvar problems are sexual, I would suggest making an appointment with Raquel. Last summer she treated a woman from Pakistan who was unable to consummate her marriage due to pain and fear. At the end of twelve weeks, as she said, the couple was very happy when they went back home. nne
Guest guest
Also, If anyone can get North of Boston, my PT Ann Levesque in Beverly is recommended by Raquel and is incredible!! She has helped so many people, and same thing - you don't have to go forever, usually if you do what she asks you get better. I am still going only because I am pregnant and want to get through the pregnancy and post-partum with her help. She doesn't take insurance but my insurance company reimburses me 70% when I send in my receipts. Melinda
