Guest guest
Tom, do you have a schedule on where you will be the rest of the year? And also, do you have a big belief in EFT? I get the newsletter from Craig every week, but just never developed on exactly on how to do it. I am just very skeptical and just can’t keep throwing out money on things that don’t work. nne From: VulvarDisorders [mailto:VulvarDisorders ] On Behalf Of Tom Sent: Tuesday, February 26, 2008 7:35 PM To: VulvarDisorders Subject: Re: ativan Hi Carolyn, I agree with the Pharmacist, they are much more up on the drugs than the docs who prescribe them. Big Pharma will produce a drug for one thing but tell doctors it can be used for this and than and the other thing. The FDA does not allow them to openly advertise for alternative diagnosis / uses unless It has been approved for such. But... that does not stop Big Pharma from telling docs about alternative uses. Just so long as they don't officially advertise to the public. It amounts to a few extra billion a year and is a legal way to get around the FDA rules. The fact that calming you down has such a profound effect on the VV symptoms only strengthens my position that being emotinally upset makes things much worse. Emotions play a huge part in this and all chronic pain syndromes. That is why I also promote EFT and am including it in my Women's Pelvic courses. YOu are right,I do not take insurance as payment in full except for worker's comp and Medicare. If I treat you while I am out and about in the USA teaching, I would not charge you. If you come to see me at my clinic it would be $185 for the initial visit and $135 for each visit thereafter if you pay out of pocket as we go along. That is a 50 dollar savings over what we charge to use the insurance company. Guest guest
Thanks so much Tom – I do have the manual, but I have not looked at it in a long time. I will read the basic recipe and let you know if I have any questions. And thank you for the telephone help! That is so kind of you – I will go over everything and may take you up on your offer. I am having a tough time dealing with this pain so I am open to any and all suggestions right now. Get out the voodoo dolls – just kidding of course – but it is amazing what you think of when the pain gets the best of you. nne From: VulvarDisorders [mailto:VulvarDisorders ] On Behalf Of K. I should be able to chat. That goes for anyone on the site. Also, I will be Skiing in Colorado all next week, 2-9 of March so unless you run into me on the slopes you'll have to wait until I get back to work on the 10th for me to answer your questions. Guest guest
Hi nne, My mother's a therapist in Toronto who does EFT and I have seen one of the Craig videos and have gone through EFT (I have it well memorized by now) with two different therapists, though not for any physical pain. I can tell you from experience that EFT works really well for some people and not for others. For me, it works really well for some things and not for others. EFT especially doesn't work for me if I don't get to the heart of a problem first. However, that's emotional and not physical. I say-- try it! But if you don't notice anything after one or two sessions with a professional then stop going. Hope that helps! - > > Tom, do you have a schedule on where you will be the rest of the year? > > And also, do you have a big belief in EFT? Guest guest
I knew it was free, but it is not free if it is part of another service (such as yourself). My husband printed out the manual for me today and I am going to try and learn it myself. If I have any problems with it, Tom said he would help me (or any of us that might be trying it). If it involves too much “touch and feely” stuff as my daughter likes to call it, it won’t work for me as I am not the type that writes down all their thoughts. nne From: VulvarDisorders [mailto:VulvarDisorders ] On Behalf Of Lindsey Sent: Wednesday, February 27, 2008 12:34 PM To: VulvarDisorders Subject: Re:Tom EFT is free.
