This may be what all women with vvs are looking for...

Hi,

I'm new to this group but I just had to join, let me explain my

situation...

My name is Lydia and I live in Wisconsin. I've had the severe

symptoms of VVS since I was twelve (10 years ago). A few years ago I

got fed up with doctors telling me that this horrible pain was all

in my head (who would believe a 12 year old, doing her own research)

anyways, I joined an online group similar to this one and a

wonderful woman directed me to Women's Care of Wisconsin, finally a

doctor who listened to me and my concerns. I went through physical

therapy (there is such a thing for vular pain) and other treatments

including pain meds. I'm getting married in July and knowing the

horrible pain that went with sex I didn't want a marriage to start

out on a bad note with no physical relationship (believe me there

wouldn't have been any physical relationship) that is until I met

with a WONDERFUL pain specialist in Appleton WI. He treats women

with this kind of pain (his wife is a obgyn at local hospital) they

specialize in this! Believe me when I say, women who think they have

no hope of ever being able to enjoy sex, THINK AGAIN!!!! I'm having

a proceedure which involves placing an implant into the spine to

block the pain senses from getting to the brain, so no pain. He has

treated hundreds of women wiht vvs with this proceedure. I really

couldn't wait to tell others about this proceedure! I feel this is a

simple breakthrough that could finally give us relief.

Lydia,

Are you talking about a spinal stimulator? If yes, I'm glad it

helped you but that surgery can be risky in of itself.

How long ago did you have this done?
