I thought I'd give an update on the nc status with nada and my step-dada. There has been no centact since this time last year. not even emails. The last email was from dada saying that i didn't have a brain because i sent nada a 1 line email for her birthday. I'd written nothing since, and they haven't sent their parcels for the kids etc. My sister and I are in contact, but only because of the kids. And I won't share my personal life with her. I'm mostly doing ok, have periods when i wish it could be different... but it's the best thing I ever did! I just went NC with my nada and for now, I feel like I can breathe, that I've sprouted wings and want to fly. But I wonder if regrets or what-if's creep in. The missing presents for the kids is sad but not as sad as having nada poison their lives and yours. You sound good in your message, that your life is going well.
