As far as referrals go I think it depends on your insurance. Another option is to see a Cranio-facial team to get a 2nd opinion.

Hi,

I'm now considering getting another opinion on my daughter's plagio,

and thanks to the list of Doctors in the database, it looks like

there's a band-knowledgable neurosurgeon in our area. This is probably

a stupid question, but...do neurosurgeons only see babies that need

surgery? Will they see my daughter for her plagio even if I don't

think she needs surgery? Do you typically need a referral from your

pediatrician to go to a neurosurgeon, or could I just go ahead and make

an appointment on my own?

I did not need a referral to take my son to a neurosurgeon. He saw my son for plagio only (no surgergy) and wants him to come in for check-ups during the helmet process.
