Guest guest
It will be interesting to see what people say, but I always thought the forward ear moved backwards to its correct spot. Doesn't the 'good' ear just stay where it is? That is a very good question!!!! Guest guest
That IS a very good question. My son's left ear was farther forward than his right ear and the doc band touched the front of his left ear and there was plenty of room for the right ear. Please let us know what they tell you, I am very curious. Guest guest
I know that they had to open up around the ears when we initially received our DOC Band, but they haven't changed them since. After our last adjustment I noticed the band was closer to the front of his left ear (the solid side - the band opens on the right), but I'm not sure if that's because things have changed or because there was a little more " play " after the last adjustment. I'm under the vague impression that the ears don't move, but the bone structure around them changes, which causes the changes in alignment. But thinking about it, I'm not sure where I got this idea - I've been reading so much about plagiocephaly and banding that it could be from about anywhere, so I don't know how reliable this information is. I'm planning on asking about this at our next adjustment, but in the meantime, please keep us posted about anything you find out. , Mom to Devlan, DOC Band 5/11/06 > > Has anyone had their clinician grind the DOC band's ear space to make room > for alignment of the ears? > > My daughter has some ear misalignment.
