My son has a STARband, but I'm guessing this makes no difference in this case. His ears are misaligned too and the " good " ear has some space all around it, but the other ear only has space behind it at this point, the front of his ear is right up against the foam. I don't know if that in any way helps to answer your question, or if I've only confused you more.

Has anyone had their clinician grind the DOC band's ear space to make room for alignment of the ears? My daughter has some ear misalignment. The left ear is pushed more forward than the right ear. My concern is that the space that's cut out for her ears is fine for the left ear (with space in front and back of the ear). But the DOC band doesn't have hardly any space in front of her right ear. It's actually touching the front of her ear.My clinician said at 3 weeks that her ears seem more aligned. So I believe that the little space that was in front of her ear was used up.If the ears are going to correct more, doesn't she need some more space in front of her right ear so the right ear will move forward?

I am concerned and will ask my clinician about it. But I wanted to find out if there was anyone with my similar problem and learn what they did about it. Thank you.Chicago, IL (7 months banded at 6 1/4 weeks)
