bald spot = band too close-fitting?

We've made it to 2 weeks with our docband, and we are definitely

seeing some progress! The left side of her occipital bone is rounding

out nicely, and the flatter right side will hopefully follow suit soon.

My concern is that a bald spot has formed on that left side (the

non-flat/less-flat side)... I know that even non-plagio babies can

develop bald spots due to back sleeping, but in this case, is it

possible that the band is too fitted in that spot, and not allowing

for enough growth? And this fittedness is causing the bald spot? She

still sleeps on her back 100% of the time...I can't get her to stay on

her tummy.

We're due for an adjustment on Friday, and I plan

Thanks...

Our son developed what we thought were bald spots on some of the

holding points (non flat spots) on his head. It turned out that they

weren't bald spots but they were blonde spots, he has brown hair.

After treatment and a haircut they were gone. I would ask CT about

it if you are concerned but the helmet needs to hold onto the non

flat spots to be effective. Please let us know what they tell you.
