HI Carolyn,

Just to say that Magnesium is an excellent addition and glad she knew that... it can help quite a bit esp. to reduce inflammation as it calms down those painful nerve endings called nociceptors or pain pathway. (Epsom salt soaks or sitz baths are made with magnesium by the way)

An excellent link for more info is this one;

http://www.ctds.info/5_13_magnesium.html

and other here:

http://www.krispin.com/magnes.html

One more is this one how it helps with our estrogen. ;)

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve & db=pubmed & dopt=Abstract & list_uids=15466949

Shows how it enhances estrogen's central nervous system protective effects.

Mg's improvement of cerebral blood flow, and improves brain metabolism, it can also enhance removal of the beta amyloid peptide, accumulation of which is implicated in alzheimers too.

Soooooo, I'm glad you're adding that hon and hope her other ideas help too. :) Dee

homeopathic appt

I had a homeopathic workup today., the dr I have been seeing is very knowledgeable about pelvic floor/pudendal neuralgia issues. She asked me a ton of questions and gave me this little cup of a bunch of homeopathic meds in it. Im sure some of it was hypericum, but she said it should help any burning and calm the muscle spasms. I will keep ya all posted.

I am to have a follow-up in 2 weeks. She told me to increase my magnesium and to purchase a footstool for infront of the toilet when I go. Its supposed to help everything come out better:) lol

Its interesting while waiting to see her she has a ton of books and I was paging thru a few.

One said that heavy metal - mercury depletes your magnesium levels and I tested very high on my hair analysis with mercury.

She has treated successfully women that had pn/pelvic issues so I want to see how this works.
