Guest guest
Do we have information on lamictal as a medication for nerve pain, or as a substitute for Neurontin or Lyrica? Thanks (the long-lost)
Guest guest
I was on Lamictal and Prozac for bipolar for 3 years and never saw a change in my vvs. I didn't have constant pain though...only pain on contact. I don't know if it would help with the constant pain. It's funny that the warnings are for suicidal thoughts b/c I was put on it b/c of my suicidal thoughts, but it is seems like all drugs that mess with chemicals in your head have a chance at that kind of side effect. > > Do we have information on lamictal as a medication for nerve pain, or > as a substitute for Neurontin or Lyrica? > > Thanks > (the long-lost) >
Guest guest
I saw a specialist at UNC (Deniz Zolnoun) during 2007. She said that lamictal might be better than Neurontin. I have not tried it yet. Neurontin has worked really well for me but I am still dealing with overfiring nerves. Dr. Zolnoun refers to my nerve issues as " Ion Channel Irritability " She said that Neurontin and Lamictal both help with that. > > > > Do we have information on lamictal as a medication for nerve pain, or > > as a substitute for Neurontin or Lyrica? > > > > Thanks > > (the long-lost) > > >
