Funny DR story

OK...all this doctor discussion made me remember a funny story. I

recently worked for a HUGE county mental health agency. I regularly

collaborated with psychiatrists, case managers, etc. I ran a program

for seniors, but the vast majority of our clients/patients were people

who had been diagnosed with a major and persistent mental illness such

as schizophrenia and sometimes people were understandably not on their

best behavior. One of our clients was very angry at his psychiatrist

and he called every voice mailbox extension he could and said, " I have

a message for Dr. XYZ. QUACK QUACK QUACK QUACK. He will know what I

said. " We regularly got strange messages...but this one was so funny

even the doctor had to admit it was pretty creative. It took me a

minute to get it at first...but then I realized he was insinuating the

doctor was a...quack.

My family is full of doctors (in-laws), I have worked closely with

doctors for years, and I dated a couple of doctors before I got

married. The stories I could tell...it really gave me a different

perspective on what goes on behind those white coats.
