Guest guest
I tried physical therapy in December, 2007. There is a muscle called " levator ani " that is part (all?) of the pelvic floor. It holds all your insides in. My therapist ( Felix at UNC) said that I had part of this muscle that was like wood. She assured me that stretching it would help. I believe her but every time that muscle is " disturbed " it sets off pain that lasts for days. I believe the nerves in that muscle are particularly damaged and over-reactive. I have been massaging the muscle with my " Evibra " vibrator. It is a vibroator that is like a bulb on a stick. (Sorry if this is gross, LOL) I am going to start physical therapy again with a new therapist, Briggs, at CAWH in Raleigh. ( Felix was not a nurturing person and she did not understand how serious things are for me)
