Prednisone definitely affects sleep (like, I don't much), but for me, only at

high doses (40-60 mg/d). Once I get to 10 mg or so, I'm back to normal (as far

as that goes).

Can anyone tell me if sleeping problems is linked to tapering of prednisone...

I've been on 5 mg prednisone for 6 years. I guess my Dr is going to keep me on it forever. I don't sleep well, and haven't for a long time. They told me the disease interfered with sleep, and prograf can as well. Most nights I half wake up at midnight, with some paranoid fear that I have been neglecting to take my meds. I've assumed that it's because of being somewhat obsessive about taking them. I never miss a dose. Maybe these drugs are getting to me.This is the kind of problem that causes Drs to say "Hmm, interesting".Best wishes, Don BE AN ORGAN/BLOOD DONOR
