Good Lord Carolyn...what are you doing? You are an angel. Wings

already waiting. Heck, you might already have them and be sworn to

secrecy with taking in your mother. Sometimes there are things you

just have to do though. I did not mean my first line as a tongue

lashing...you know me better than that I hope!

I will be praying for you all!!! You have such a good heart. I hope

You can pick your friends but not your family. As much as we want the people that we are related to to be loving and supportive some just can't or won't I am so glad you have the good friends to be with and you always have us. My younger brother refuses to acknowledge that I'm ill (he has told me to my face that I'm not really sick!), and for the past 5 years has pretended I no longer exist. I guess he figures if he doesn't acknowledge it, he doesn't have to cope with it. But it hurts deeply and makes me very, very, very angry. He also refuses to acknowledge that our Mom is getting a bit less able to do for herself. She's 83 and we just moved her in with us a couple of weeks ago, so my hands are really full now! My brothers no only didn't come by for Christmas last month ... one didn't even have the decency to call. I called him & left a message on his answering machine (they never

answer the phone, particularly if we're calling!). You wouldn't figure family could hurt you so much, would you?Thank heavens for true friends! We have 2 very dear friends who have stayed shoulder to shoulder with us through all this. Don't know what we would have done without them.Carolyn B. in SC
