It depends on what your doctor wants to do, as well as if your insurance pays.

If I didn't have insurance (Medicare), I would be in debt big time with blood

work. If the billing is right, you know, where it lists the costs they

supposedly charge (before the your portion), a full slate of lab work can run

$300-$400.

Wake up please! is all still kicking?

just figured up all my numbers over the past 7 days and my average sugar is

96. this is 28 readings added together and divided by the number of days. even

taking ten units twice a day since the 29'th of May my sugar is still running a

lot in the 80's. A buddy of mine said when he had got down to only using 6 units

twice a day, his doc took him off the flex pen. could be this could happen to me

on Friday. I'm even thinking that some of my meds that are for heart rate and

blood pressure may as well need to be adjusted. I have noticed my heart rate has

even dropped in the past ten days to where it had been. hard to believe that

only 30 pounds would cause this, but maybe it does happen. the thing about a

heart rate in the sixty's is no energy. I all most decided to skip my shot at

dinner because my sugar was 85 and I was having a salad with a couple slices of

cantaloupe. I will check it again at 7-30 and see where it is. I don't have the

shakes, but don't feel like it is high either. I was thinking I should feel much

better with more energy after exercise, losing weight and taking better care of

my sugar, but actually I don't feel as good as I did last month at this same

time. to crazy for me! sure is a good thing I'm going to see the diabetes

specialist on Friday? just think? 3 months ago he started me out at 20 twice a

day and told me in a week after he seen my readings he would ajust my dose

higher to cover the higher numbers. been going down ever sense and is still

going down more then when he called on the 29'th of May. Well think I will back

out of here for now and maybe some of you can wake up before to morrow. don't

like this list to be dead like this. makes me think you don't love me any more?
