Guest guest
Fawn- Thanks so much for asking! Well, since I just emailed you personally you've got all the info, but there was something that I wanted to share with everyone. Everyday my 2yod and I have been watching A Baby Story on TLC. It's where they follow a couple from the last month of pregnancy into the delivery room. It has been so neat to see what has learned from watching these births and how excited she is about our baby. What is really special is how much we talk about nursing. Since she nursed until 2, she still remembers and speaks fondly of the experience. She always talks about how the baby is going to nurse and stuff. I never imagined how special toddler nursing would be to her now and in the future!! S. He'll sit there totally glued to the television and then when the baby is born, he says " Look, mommy, a baby!! " It is a nice way to ease them into it and open things up for discussion. I'm very open with him and don't tell any 'stories' about how babies are born, he knows it'll come from mommy's " gina " (his word for vagina). BTW there's another similar type show on Discovery I think.....I think it's called Birth Day and we watch it too. Fawn
