Guest guest
Hey Lindsey, I say we 'skip' Oprah and just keep emailing Dr. Oz (and anybody else we can think of). mentioned it would be good for us to Thank him for covering the subject of Vulvar Pain. I've often thought if a few of us would email different Media Outlets once every couple of weeks on the same day, maybe V.pain would get even more coverage. and Liz are truly incredible - and wonderful advocates for pelvic pain sufferers. If you get anymore ideas...pass them on... Hugs, Chelle
Guest guest
I agree that Oprah shouldn't have laughed at the word " vulvodynia " but she did so out of embarrassment as do most others when they are embarrassed. The same reason that people are embarrassed to talk about bowel problems such as if they have symptoms of IBS. I don't think that the Larry King Live show would be a good idea for this topic. As for why so many are Gung Ho about Oprah is because of the fame she has but she doesn't take endometriosis very seriously either. Guest guest
Good comments. It seems to me that African American women are equally if not more so yoked with this vulvodynia problem, if I remember what I have read correctly about the condition. So, hold on ladies. Oprah WILL come around when her " daughters " in the school she built in Africa come of age and some, I hope not many, find themselves begging for help. Sad but true. And I am NOT wishing this condition on anyone just stating the facts as JOE FRIDAY would say. love and peace, ml ----- Subject: Re: OPRAH / Dr. Oz - Lindsey I agree that Oprah shouldn't have laughed at the word " vulvodynia " but she did so out of embarrassment as do most others when they are embarrassed.
