Guest guest
Hi There- I'm new to the board and there is so much information here, that I thought it would be easier to start out by asking a question than trying to go through all of the posts! We visited a specialist today and were told that my 6mo old has a case of mild plagiocephaly. They told us that it is our choice whether we do a helmet or not. The doctor said that PT and repositioning may or may not resolve it (we plan on doing this for sure) and that a helmet may or may not help, but would speed up the process. Can anyone share some information on how they made their decision on to helmet or not? How does the helmet work? Why do they need to wear it when they are not lying down? I'm trying to gather more information to use in making our decision because the doctors won't give us a directive. Thanks!!
