Guest guest
Hello, I have two daughters. Grace will be 3 on November 26 and Hannah was born on August 29, 2000. I'm breastfeeding and it's going really well. She feeds about every 3 hours and usually only from one side. Occaisionally she'll empty one side and then start on the other. She spits up frequently. My first daughter rarely spit up, so this is hard to get used to. I look forward to getting to know everyone. When I cut out dairy it almost eliminated the spitting completely. It can take up to 2 weeks to see results, but with mine, I saw improvement immediately. :c) Joan S. *·.,¸¸,.·´*¯`·.,¸¸,.·´*¯`·.,¸¸,.·´*¯`·.,¸¸,.·´*¯`·.,¸¸,.·´*¯`·.,¸¸,.·*

Guest guest
Cindy, Welcome, I'm also a mom of two ( will be 3 on Jan 25, and was born Feb 10.) My spitter-upper is also the second one. I found that she spit up most often in the mornings. She would sleep 5 hours at night and then 3 hours, and when she took her first feed after waking it was more than her tummy could hold so lots came up. We never really resolved it, except that sometimes I could stop her and then give her the same breast again like an hour later (to finish " emptying " it of fullness.) (at 2-3 months) was also great for eating her whole meal in like 10 minutes. When I could get her to take 15-20 minutes to finish instead, she did much less spitting. This was usually later in the day and at night--less full feeling, less milk waiting on tap to be devoured. There was also a connection (for me) between how many fluids I consumed and how much spit up the next day. When I really drank a lot of water (at least 8-8 oz glasses), then her spitting was almost gone, but when I didn't make the extra effort to drink water she'd spit more the next day again.
