Guest guest
Yep. I have to visit the doc each month for my refills. I really don't mind it. I do understand why they are so closely controlled. What I take for pain is a drug that some people would take for fun. Sad but true. What alot of those people don't even consider is that some of them are taking doses so high that they will ruin their liver with the tylenol that is in vicodin. I suppose if you want to get high bad enough, then to hell with your liver at the time. hugs, Debra V. Maybe if theydid, they wouldn't be so stingy with the pain meds /Mi Re: Please tell me what you thinksame with me, only i just started asking for something for pain.i think the truth is the docs are getting audited more everytime theywrite a script for a controlled substance so i really do feel andbeleive that they are now not even bothering to acknowledge oursymptoms nor are they making the proper diagnoses so they won't haveto write scripts and treat us, looking at us like we are nuts.i have been close to writing a list of all my dxs, all my meds, andall my ongoing symptoms getting worse, handing a copy to my docs andasking them to sign my copy that they did receive the informationfrom me. this would be evidence, in a court of law, of their ongoingnegligence, if needed.hang in there, it is really hard, marg>> I'm new to this group and so far some of the things I'm readin from> other people I have experienced also. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the listas to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with yourdr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as wellas to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general.2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don'tbe afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make thatsituation better.3. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad atthe same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially takesomething another member says the wrong way. And that includes the thingsthat one member may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) eventhough we who deal with illness whether one such as fibro or multipleillnesses try to keep a sense of humor.5.
