Guest guest
- I'm sorry your rib pain is not letting up. Mine comes and goes. Sometimes it's there for a couple of weeks and other times a day or two. It's not constant. Have you had it checked out? I also thought spasms in your calves were from a vitamin deficiency - I'm not a doctor, so that's just a theory from what I've read and heard from others - you might want to look that one up. It seems my hubby had the same problem a while back and the doc put him on some kind of supplement. I don't remember much at the moment, but will ask him about it and let you know what he says. Unless its fibro related - then I don't think supplements will help. But once again, I'm not a doctor, just an opinion. Teri (central Wisconsin) Re: Re: Need advice or input please ::TERI: rib pain I have this same rib pain. When I wake up I can hardly breathe because of it. I also have *mild* spasms or charlie horses in my calves. Overall stiffness and pain in my neck, shoulders, and back. But the rib thing, which started about 3 or 4 months ago and has gotten progressively worse, is TERRIBLE. in Louisiana
Guest guest
Judy - are Lydoderm patches the same as lidocaine patches? Heat helps me and compression, and I agree with you on the muscle relaxers, pain meds and hot water. Hot baths are wonderful. Teri (central Wisconsin) Re: Re: Need advice or input please ::TERI: rib pain , I found that putting Lydoderm patches on my ribs and heat have helped with those pains. I'm not sure if it is muscle, cartitege ligaments or bones that are hurting but as long as I can find some relief, I'm happy. Muscle relaxers or pain meds may help and hot water alway seems to help mr so go for the shower. The moist warm air will help your breathing as well. I would suggest that you have someone around incase you need some assistance. JudyMer
