Hi Melinda,That was a weird response that I gave. When I apply my meds, I kind of push on the area a ways above the hood and it lifts up enough so I can see the area that bothers me, which is the clitoris itself. There is more skin underneath the hood above my clitoris, but it does not hurt, so that is why I assume that it stops at the clitoris and that is it. What I mean is that I can see the whole entire effected area. So, luckily I can apply meds to all of the effected areas. If that makes sense. Sometimes it is difficult to describe things of this nature--YOU KNOW! It is not often that I discuss my clitoris in public--ha ha! I consider everyone on this group as my friend, so why not! I hope that makes more sense or does it? On another note, the last time I was in to see Dr. , I was having one of my better LP moments and the skin looked a lot better than past visits, so she thought that my skin looked normal also, but I was still having a lot of discomfort in the clitoral area. To me, I could definitely see that the skin was not the same as the other areas of skin on my V, but there is nobody that knows your V area like you do. I told her that exactly and I really was not happy that she was telling me it looked normal, but in fact, to me, it was not. Anyway, this struggle is up and down and always a pain to deal with. I have been in a flare since my surgery in November, but things are getting a little better for me now. I am going to the tanning beds and I think that is helping my flare calm down a bit, although today is not one of my better days. Anyway, I am rambling and need to get to work.--sorry. HOW ARE YOU FEELING?Mindy>> Mindy,> I was interested in your response to about the LP being just on > your clitoris but not under the hood...I continue to think there must > be something weird about my clitoris. > Melinda>

Hi Mindy!

I am feeling ok...tired but less nauseous, as long as I eat constantly.

=) We had our first prenatal appointment yesterday and she did a pap

smear, which didn't hurt, but my cervix bled. She said the skin on my

cervix is very delicate and paper thin, which is unusual. Perhaps LP? I

have to ask at my next Burlington appointment. That's why I have been

spotting after intercourse - the tissue on my cervix apparently tears

easily. But it doesn't hurt, so that's good. And it's not dangerous to

the baby.

I think I just have a tiny clitoris. I am hoping that this is the case

and that my clitoris isn't shrinking or something. =) I never ever

looked at that part of my body till I got diagnosed with LP last year,

so I don't know how I looked before. I really wish I did.

Hope you are well!

Melinda
