This could absolutely be LP. I would ask for a biopsy, and ask for it

to be read by a specialized dermatopathologist. That said, it could

come back negative and you could still have it - lots of false

negatives on this test. My symptoms are so classic that I didn't need a

biopsy. I would get on this before you start losing architecture. It

may not be LP, but if it is, you want to know ASAP. Another thing they

can do is culture the discharge - yellowish discharge is almost always

inflammatory, even if you don't feel burning (I don't have vaginal

burning, but do have lots of yellow discharge - this is not normal).

My yellow discharge cultured as Group B. Strep.
