Standard treatment

Ivy,

I don't know if there's a " standard treatment " for LP. It's much like

LS - different things work for different people. But I know alot of

doctors will prescribe clob. first thing. That's what mine did. But it

didn't work for me at all. Only things worked for me were the topical

hormones. They also tried a vaginal cream with an antibiotic and a

steroid to reduce inflammation. Didn't hurt but not sure how much it

helped. Some people try nerve meds like lyrica for the associated nerve

pain. It really depends on your case. Some people are very severe and

end up taking immunosuppressants like cyclosporine to keep it under

control. Thank God I'm not at that point! Let me know if I can answer

any more questions for you!
