Guest guest
Thanks Barb! is really passe about it. When I got the email from his nurse, he was like more " mad " that his MELD wasn't higher. He hasn't been feeling all that hot. Lots of chills, weak appetite, no fevers though. The fatigue & loopiness is getting worse. He is starting to have a harder time conjugating sentences and speaking clearly. His last ammonia test had him at 67. They will be testing him again next week. He has his annual colonoscopy tomorrow morning, so that lovely prep is today-boy will he be grumpy! I agree getting on Medicare was the biggest relief. Knowing that if and when he gets sick there is money there for it. All the eval testing was exhausting on all of us. The waiting for results hasn't been a real thrill either. We are awaiting the results from the MRCP he had done on Monday-he hasn't had one of those in some time so we are anxious for those results. Curious about where the PSC is at now. His liver functions relatively well, it's the relentless itching, fatigue, jaundice that is the worst for him. And the consistent chills doesn't make his doc real comfortable either. Know we just wait and see. As with everyone, it is a wait and see what happens, but in the mean time, you enjoy and laugh as much as you can. He has bouts where he is really angry that he is sick, but for the most part, we just laugh and poke fun at it. It is the best way we cope as a family. We can't fix what is there, but we can certainly laugh and be there for what is! Thanks for the wishes.
