Guest guest
I am the same way. I have been unable to tolerate the heat since I was probably 8 or so. Direct sunlight more so, but I also get a headache if I overheat. I believe mine is because when I was little I got heat stroke & have been this way ever since. I haven't figure out how to prevent it, so I just try to stay out of the sun. (Which was easier to due a couple of years ago, because my son was actually allergic to the sun & would get hives from it). When I have to be out (to watch the kids or something) I make sure I claim the plastic chair that's out there (instead of the picnic table) so that I can keep moving it to stay in the shade. Also, if you get dehydrated that will cause headaches (Chiari or not). So, this is my advice...water, shade & a good hat! ) a in WA Reply-To: To: " Chiari Group " <chiari > Subject: Sun related headaches Date: Tue, 23 Jul 2002 08:19:52 -0400 Hello..... If I'm in the sun without a hat for more than 5 minutes I develop an excruciating headache that lasts for hours or even days. Yesterday I was in a pool w/o a hat and still have the headache. Anyone out there have this problem? If so, any suggestions on how to relieve them?
