Guest guest
Hi , I actually do take the generic of Vistaril (hydroxyzine) and I've found antihistamines helpful for both the IC and Vulvar pain. Do you take Atarax? I have a good article I'll send in for you to read. Dr. Theoharides at Tufts University has done many studies on the connection between mast cells and IC. He is also the inventor of Cystoprotek, have you tried that yet for the IC? If you'll go to this link you can find info about it: http://www.algonot.com I took Cystoprotek for about 4 months...it helped some, but I can't seem to get back in the swing of taking it again. Sad, huh? But I have so many things going on right now...especially structural issues. Things are pointing towards Pudendal Nerve Entrapment...*sigh*. But hubby and I are determined that I'll get past all this pain. Very tiring, though. If the side effects do not bother you the atarax is better. Most doctors think that histamine palys a role in IC. Gaddy
