Guest guest
Andi: Got both your voice mails and thank you soo much. Just hearing your voice that you sounded good were very important. I just get like a jellyfish when the next shoe drops for Bob. Seems like we just got over the Bell's Palsy and were getting ahead a little. I am glad you got something accomplished with the VA. Sounds like you have taken on a real project and I know how dedicated you are to seeing the wrongs corrected. Did you start taking your new med. that you asked about on this board? Update on Bob is that we see the surgeon Monday afternoon and hope to get good news. He is eating a lot, sleeping very little but resting, working in the yard and tackling projects that have set for years. He really works at the mood swings and all in all we are surviving and hopefully getting better. Thanks to a lot of support (you included).this group too. What is your experience with the affects after the pred. is done. I know it stays in your system for 1 year but do you get a crash? I am learning this pyoderma gang. is common in people with Chron's, IBD, arthritis, diabetes, and some other diseases. Thank you so much for thinking of me. dee
Guest guest
Dee, I do better on Prednisone when Iam working around my place, on a complicated project or one that is time consuming. There should be no " crash " with Prednisone(as long as you follow the taper). I did experience a temporary patchy rough rash on my legs. It did go away and never returned. I cant be sure it was related to the Prednisone. I also developed a lesion on my collar bone, circular, blister like. One on the back of my neck as well. Quite odd, and they showed up over night. That was when I was on 60mg per day. They have healed but left slight scars behind even though I kept my hands off of them. What Iam concerned about is the gradual return of my Crohns and the back pain. Hopefully Bob wont have to deal with the lesions again for a long! time (years). If the standard FDA Crohns and UC meds dont work for me this time then I expect my physician will put me on Remicade or perhaps Humira. Overall I felt fine after the taper. Its the inflammation that is so terrible and causes so much pain and misery. At least it seems that way to me. Have not received the new med yet by mail.. Dee, I will always help you if Iam able..call anytime. Andi > Andi: > Got both your voice mails and thank you soo much. Just hearing your voice that you sounded good were very important.
