Guest guest
Sure --- or not. Mayo was conviced I had polyps in my gallbladder, and recommended I get it removed, as there is a connection between that observation and cancer. It was removed 4 months later for different reasons, and the pathologist's report was " innocent " - no polyps, growths, etc. just " diseased and enlarged " . They also found a 7 mm nodule in my lower left lung. I had CTs for the next two years to assess. No change in 3 years - probably a calcium deposit that's been there for many years. Ken's situation could, of course, be different. Reading ultrasound, radiograph, CT and MRI images are more of an art than a science (except for the obvious, of course). Hang in there and wait for the heavy hitters (CT, MRI). Arne ---- Barb Henshaw wrote: ============= Ken had an ultra sound done on Wednesday. We just got the results back and they saw a " 2.5 nodule near the gallbladder fossa " , this is something new and wasn't there 6 months ago... ....My question - could something nasty have popped up in just 6 months time?
