Guest guest
Hi Dusty, This is a lot of information. On the last page of the first link you gave below explains what my confusion is. The Rhamnosus GG is different from the Rhamnosus GR-l. Probifloria has GR-1. Culturelle has GG and I don't know what Femdophilus has at the moment. I am just trying to figure out which is the best and most efficient. Maybe both are the same. Is one a fake and a scam and the other the real thing. Maybe I think too much about nothing LOL. It doesn't matter if they all work or even one of them but it just makes me curious about them. The makers all seem to make the same claims about them. " What should be considered when choosing a probiotic? Microbiologists agree that it cannot be assumed that research published on one strain of probiotic applies to another strain, even of the same species. (Remember, for the strain “Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG”, the genus is Lactobacillus, the species is rhamnosus and the strain designation is GG. Another strain of L. rhamnosus, for example strain GR-1, has different probiotic properties.) Therefore, documentation of type of bacteria (genus, species and strain), potency (number of viable bacteria per dose), purity (presence of contaminating or ineffective bacteria), and the extent of research that has been published on health effects, must be provided for any strain being used in a product. Usually the culture or product manufacturer can provide this information " --- Anonymous wrote: > I can suggest you read these sites about friendly > the bacteria in our intestinal tracts - and other > orifices.... > > http://www.usprobiotics.org/ > http://www.relfe.com/lactobacillus.html ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Luggage?
