Last tuesday the local doctor sent off the referral, we had a public holiday wednesday. Today (wednesday 7 days later) I get a letter from the hospital... I get my hopes up that I have an appointment.. NO.. The letter reads that they have received the referral and I've been placed on a waiting list to have my referral categorized. Once they categorise the referral I will either be sent an appointment or advised on why it was categorised otherwise. This is the leading cardio-thoracic hospital, not overly impressed.
