Guest guest
I can't give you any information other than my experience. Mine went in after the ERCP showed almost no bile drainage from the right side of my liver. I started feeling better a few days afterward. My urine went clear, my skin and eye color returned to normal and I didn't itch so much. After a few weeks my liver tests improved dramatically and moved down the transplant list because my MELD improved. My doctors gave confliciting advise on flushing it. I eventualy found it best to leave it clamped off and not flush it at all. The downside was two bile infections that might have been caused by the tube, having to go in for a tube change every 6 weeks, and not being able to go swimming. They are not a definative cure but can help a lot. I ultimately had a living donor transplant. > > Hello, > > Does anyone know anything about the drainage tubes they use to clear > your CBD out if the ERCP's aren't working?
