Guest guest Posted September 27, 2007 Report Share Posted September 27, 2007 , when my vulvar pain began 15 yrs. ago...the first doc I saw put me on Flagyl AND yeast meds. It made me feel soooo bad. The Flagyl gave me a terrible taste in my mouth & made me nauseous...and worst of all, this "female" doc misdiagnosed me with Trich - and I didn't have a yeast infection!!!! She didn't even do any cultures. I was 'young' at the time & complaining of pain...had no internet help and so this doc thought, oh, std (and I guess possible yeast?)!!! I think most of us have been run through multiple tests for std's whether that applies to us or not. And we've all probably used yeast meds when it was unnecessary. It STINKS! I was on Flagyl for BV, 3 days later my mouth was on fire and it never went away. I seeked out a specialist for BMS and he told me the bms will go away. Now I have THIS!!! Its burning mouth all over again but at least with the bms you can chew gum. Thats not an option with a vulva :(Im going tonight to give blood for every std under the sun. This is insane!! Im starting to freak out. As if burning mouth wasnt bad enough, now I have vulvadynia. Mine started with a yeast infection too. I did 2 treatments of diflucan and after that didnt work, did the Teconazol 7 and Im still getting a discharge, but its clear, not white. Although when it dries up on my undies, its white. Im sooo upset :(My gyn's nurse wants me to come back in to see the dr. FOR WHAT??? He already saw me for cultures and said my vulva looks normal.
