Guest guest
Thanks for all your responses. I'm really interested in losing my excess weight, but I was thinking about the physiology of the ERCPs, etc, and wondered if maybe losing the weight would improve the PSC and bile duct inflammation so that I wouldn't have to worry about the ERCPs and stenting, etc., as much. I want to be able to get and do things (like the Minn. State Fair) without having so many other problems like joint pain, shortness of breath, etc. I appreciate everyone's perspective. I will be discussing all this with my GI next week as well. Now that's room service! Choose from over 150,000 hotels in 45,000 destinations on Yahoo! Travel to find your fit. Guest guest
MJ, I for one was not thinking of a gastric bypass when I replied earlier to your post, so my answer probably sounded off the wall. I was thinking of roux-en-y as illustrated at http://hopkins-gi.nts.jhu.edu/pages/latin/templates/ in the Therapy sections of cholangiocarcinoma and primary sclerosing cholangitis. Let us know how your discussion with your GI goes. Regards, Tim R > > Thanks for all your responses.
