Guest guest
> > i started last year in September with burning, pain, redness. Went to several doctors and went through a ton of medication. Went to a dermatologist and a skin sample was taken, diagnoised with Lichen Simplex Chronicus. Again went through several medications. Found a specialist in Philadelphia, PA - no success. Presently seeing a specialist in vulvar disorders and presently on neurotin and an ointment Bethamethasone VA 0.1% twice a day. Recently diagnosed in full menopause and now more changes. I have also noticed that when I get stressed out the burning and pain, redness increases. Still hoping for a miracle. > Any suggestions for additional relief. Have you tried clobetasol or Temovate? It is the same steroid ointment and is the only thing that has worked for my VLP. Have you been diagnosed with Lichen Planus of Lichen Schlerosis? Both of these vulvar skin conditions can call for aggressive treatments and the clob is one of them. When i have a severe outbreak, my doc prescribes prednisone to calm the inflammation. I think you need to find out exactly what you have. It all sucks to speak frankly. See if you can find a specialist in the vulvar area or a derm in that area. It took me over 40 years to find a doc who knew what to do to help me. Let us know and good luck. > > > --------------------------------- > Be a better pen pal. Text or chat with friends inside Yahoo! Mail.
