Fascinating! I once told my GI that I thought Singulair (Montelukast, for asthma) improved my UC symptoms. He didn't quite laugh, but I think he wanted to!

You just never know!

I've read that a new approach to treatment of eosinophilic gastroenteritis is with a leukotriene D4 receptor antagonist:
