The last I heard about his studies on nor-ursodeoxycholic acid were from October, 2006 at the Falk Sympsoium; see p. 77 - 78 of this abstract book: _____________________ http://www.falkfoundation.com/pdf/FS155_Abstractband_Internet.pdf October 6 - 7, 2006 Freiburg (Germany) XIII FALK LIVER WEEK (Part I) Falk Symposium 155 XIX International Bile Acid Meeting Bile Acids: Biological Actions and Clinical Relevance Side chain-shortened bile acids for the treatment of cholestasis: Lessons from nor-ursodeoxycholic acid Trauner, Fickert, Tarek Moustafa, Christian Guelly _____________________ I will try to write to him and get you an update. Best regards, Dave (father of (21), PSC 07/03; UC 08/03) > > Dave, Speaking of Dr Trauner, Have you heard any update on Nor- UDCA? I looked around on his sites and did some searches, but didn't really come up with anything besudes the study that was in the newsletter. The only thing I found was a study I think on the metabolizing of Nor-UDCA by I think A Hofmann in human subjects. Have you been in contact with Dr Trauner? It might be better for one person to contact him like yourself as opposed to a bunch of people.
