Guest guest
HI everyone, I just found out that a lumpectomy I had last week showed stage 1 cancer. My doctor said she got it all out but I am scheduled for another surgery next week to remove some of the surrounding tissue and lymph nodes to see if it has spread. Needless to say, I am beside myself. The initial report from my doctor was that everything looked good. She was shocked. MY nurse coordinator at the Transplant center told me I am now a status 7 or " on hold " until things can be worked out. My MELD score is only a 7 but I feel as though I am progressing because the fatigue is worsening, I am chilled almost all of the time and run low grade temps often. I am scheduled for an ERCP tomorrow to remove a stent I have in. They will decide then if a new one will be put in. I am just scared to death that I will end up with a cholangitis attack and not be able to get my breast surgery next Thursday. THis has happened in the past after ERCP's. Any past experiences or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated. I don't know how much more I can handle. Does anyone know how long after a diagnosis of cancer I can be reactivated on the list? Thanks so much. 43 PSC 2004 Mom to Zach 4 1/2 and a loving husband, Jeff
