update on using vagifem vs estrace cream

Well, I finally decided what I should do. You know I had

breast cancer so I have to be so careful with the estrace cream.

I was taking 2 vagifem pills a week which was = to 50 micrograms.

The doctor wrote for me to take 2 grams of estrace once a week.

Well, I got very confused. 2 grams was 4 times what I was

taking, and I don't think my vulva was in that much trouble.

Anyway, after investigating, I found out that you can't

compare differnet modes of delivery that easily. I am

sure I was not getting the full 2 grams, some would

run out and there are inactive ingred. in the cream.

So I decided that I was doing well on the vagifem

twice a week and that I should continue on that, and use

the estrace cream a dab once a week on the vulva area.

I called the doctors office and he was okay with that.

I am sorry you girls have had to hear me go on and on

about this when so many of you have very severe problems.

But I have gotten attached to the forum and you gals

and wanted to update you all. Millie
