Guest guest
Darlene, I was a smoker. Fortunately for me my quitting and this surgery came in conjunction together. In July my son (8) came to me as he had on many other occasions to ask me to quit. This time he brought up an argument that his3 Aunts had quit and a few other people that we knew why oh why can't I. So I made him a promise that after a wedding up the mountains with my friends that were very heavy smokers was over I would He snagged me the day after we got home . I have not picked 1 up since. for me 1 has always been too many and 1000 never enough. Addiction. Any way that is about the time I had made the decision to have the surgery. So any time I had a terrible urge I would say to myself not before the surgery it would be much healthier to go through this surgery without that battle too and the lungs thing scared me. I know there are several Physicians that will not do this on a smoker but I have also heard of some people who still smoke after. Best of luck to you.
