Sent: Mon, January 24, 2011 12:54:54 PMSubject: autism swimming article Greetings to all Nick Sortal, who writes about fitness and water safety at the Sun-Sentinel, is doing a general article about children with autism, swimming and the importance of swim lessons. He went to the Dan Marino Center to watch their classes and is planning on going to another venue or two to research. His main request is to see if anyone knows of an autism expert who can clearly explain why children with autism have such a fascination with water, so if someone knows of such an expert please email him at nsortal@... . Also, if you want to e-mail him with personal experiences on this topic, he’d like to hear from the general public, if for nothing else than background info. (He also recognizes that sending out such a request on an 1,800-member list serve might yield a barrage of stories!) Thanks! Please contact Nick at NSortal@... or
