Guest guest
I think you may be talking about the Embrace glucose meter. Yes, it does have speech - but - to my knowledge you can not review your history or get it to repeat your readings. This nonsense about not having to prick your finger is not necessarily a new thought. You can prick your arm but the results may not be as good or reliable as your fingers. Also, some blind folks have had problems locating the prick spot on their arm after pricking and getting the test strip where it needs to be in order to draw the blood. So far as I know the Prodigy and Solo are the only two meters which actually are accessible. While watching the Niagara Falls tightwire walk this week, a commercial came on talking about a talking blood-glucose meter that does not require pricking one's self and drawing any blood. Is this thing for real? Does anyone know anything about this thing, and is it worth pursuing? --
Guest guest
As far as I know, there are no non-invasive meters on the market. It's a subject that springs to life every so often, but so far, with no meter available to the public. Lots of big money involved, with the big players who market and sell strips standing to lose millions and millions if a non-invasive meter were to become available. Dave ~~ Coming, June 21 -- A Time To Build -- From Desert Breeze Publishing ~~ Marshall is stunned when Hallie Grover knocks on his door. He hadn't seen her in 13 years, not since that party... But she doesn't recognize him. Can he stay out of her way? Will she suddenly remember? The past may be the past, but lives in the present. And so does Hallie. may think he wants to keep his life simple, but since seeing Hallie again, his world is turned upside down.
