Hollis,

If they would have included topics like PT for the pelvic area

it would have made the article too technical and lost readers.

It would be a good idea for an additional article as follow up

but in a very simple sense.

Well, a brief mention in a sentence or two could have easily been included

without going into an overly technical discussion. Perhaps she didn't include

it because she wasn't made aware of it via her NVA contacts and research. Who

knows. Hopefully,

a follow-up article, if she does one, will include

the information -- especially if enough of us contact her about it.

On the whole, though, it was an excellent introductory

article in a venue that will reach a lot of people

in and out of the medical community. And that's very

good news.

by the way, I just wrote a letter to the editor and it took me all of one minute. If everyone did this,it would really help get the word out about how important this is!!!and I agree - a line or two about PT would have been great. To me, PT makes lots of sense from a medical standpoint. It was the only treatment that my (now ex-) boyfriend really understood. hopefully there will be a follow up article.nicoleTo: VulvarDisorders From: hgz@...Date: Tue, 29 Jan 2008 18:07:34 -0600Subject: Re: NYTimes.com: New Insights Into Genital Pain in Women

Hi, Hollis, I agree, it was asinine to not include a bit about pt since it has helped so many of us. I am practically 100% pain-free. Lindsey
