Guest guest
Hi Ladies, all this pelvic pain really takes it's toll. Many of us here on the group have multiple things going on: Lyme, IC, IBS, PCOS, Endo, Fibro, Pudendal Nerve issues, LS, LP, VVS, Infections (yeast & b.v.), vulvar cancer, etc. It may take a combination of modalities for us to get well. I've had pelvic pain in one form or another for a long time (19 yrs.), but I still have hope. It's almost a 'given' that if you didn't have pelvic floor muscle issues 'before' your pain began you very well may have them now. I encourage you to get a pelvic floor evaluation by a knowledgeable Physical Therapist if you still have pain. There are not many in the country right now that specialize in this, but the word 'is' getting out now. Some PT's even accompany their patients when seeing a knowledgeable PT like Rhonda Kotarinos, so they can learn the techniques. There is literally NO-ONE in my state that is up to date in Pelvic Floor PT, but that didn't stop me. My husband and I drove 9 hours to see Rhonda in Chicago. We learned a lot. My whole point here is this...if you have any type of pelvic pain, please get a PT evaluation. PT might alone get you well completely...for a lot of us though, it will be 'one' part to getting well (but might be a big part). Please keep in mind that like other things, all PT's are not equal!!! Please don't think I'm making any type of blanket statements here, because I'm not. I realize that not every person has the 'exact' same set of circumstances and PT may not benefit some of you. For what it's worth...an evaluation by someone knowledgeable could open a door to wellness for you. I wish all of this was easy and that I could snap my fingers and all of us be completely well. Just don't give up. Research, study, vent when you need to, but keeping pushing forward. We 'CAN' get past the pain. I'll try to send in more info over time about PT and things I have learned...regardless, though, keep posting, keep researching and studying to help yourself and don't give up!!! Many Hugs, Chelle
