Guest guest
I see now how truly blessed I am that I have the understanding of my family. I have a son with autism so maybe they were already pre disposed to accepting diagnoses but I am sorry you have had to go through this. -- Re: My tigger - same here - what gives with these family members anyhow? Girlsaylor, I cannot believe on the night after your heart cath your DH lit into you! Good grief! They DO NOT schedule those lightly. That is NOT a procedure that they just say " hmmmmm, let's let so and so have a heart cath today! " They are going into a major artery INTO the heart to check it out. What a goober! As for the rest of the stuff - I have that too! And let me tell you, my DH, who at first thought I was possibly trying out to be a professional sick person, now has reversed his decision, especially after 2 hospital stays in 2 months. He now knows and understands if I say " I'm in trouble " or " I need to go to the doctor " that something's going on. Even with the fibro, my DH is starting to slowly get it. He knows that sometimes, I am hurting and there are places he cannot touch and other times, they are sore but need slight massage. The toughest part for me is that most nights, he lays awake and checks on me all night long to make sure I'm okay. So he doesn't get the rest he needs. Now I'm not sure how supportive the rest of my family will be/is about the fibro but I think as we learn about it, they will hopefully be supportive. One of the things that we haev noticed is that I fall more often (or bump into stuff/wobbly). Now that I know it's the fibro causing it, well, I can be prepared. But I'm so sorry that (((((TIGGER))))) and (((((YOU))))) are NOT getting the home support you should. That's not fair. Home should be a haven and a safe place. I agree with Angie that if guys can't " fix " it they aren't sure what to do. My husband's solution is usually to work on another project.....lol.....he's done a built in bookcase in our living room, laid floor in the living and dining room and our daughter's room and is now ready to work on our room (painting and all). Guess what my job is? Supervise.......... (((((Hugs)))))) Darlene > > Tigger, I'm so sorry you were treated badly in a family setting, where > we are supposed to be able to be ourselves.
