Guest guest
Gale ... I had no idea you would get hit so hard by Ike! I'm glad you are ok and your house is ok. I can only imagine what you went through and saw. Love as always, MamaSher, age 70. IPF 3-06, OR. NasturtiumsDon't fret about tomorrow, God is already there! Hurricane IkeI'm just writing to praise God for my safety during the storm. We had over 100mph winds for 12 hours. I'm OK, my house is OK. There is a lot of destruction in my neighborhood. I've never seen anything like it.My power came back on about an hour ago. There are people who will have to wait weeks to get electricity. Five days with no electricity was bad.. food in refrigerator and freezers all rotten, but I'm not complaining. Neighbors with generators and grills took care of us old folks and shared their food and love with us.I never dreamed we would have such a storm. I'm 60 miles north of Houston and thought I was a safe distance. Ole Ike was out to get us all.God is good.. I was never afraid, just amazed. That's my report from surviving the storm.Gale in TX IPF 10/06 Looking for spoilers and reviews on the new TV season? Get AOL's ultimate guide to fall TV.
