Guest guest
Just want to correct any misconceptions that BK fries are GFCF. The manager of a local BK told me that they are sprinkled with a ***butter-based seasoning mix***!! By the way, I was prompted to ask only because this same location refused to serve me a burger without the bun. Of course, I was outraged that Danny could not be included (now that he eats hamburgers). They said that because the box is made of recycled materials they did not feel comfortable serving that way. Never thought of that. Jacki
Guest guest
Jackie- If the packaging is made of recycled materials should the bread be sitting in the box? I've had many a whopper that has damp bread from the mayo and ketchup dripping down. Also, are the boxes for hot, deep fried chicken nuggets made from recycled materials? What about the french fry packaging? If the box is not safe for a plain hamburger then it isn't safe for any of the foods. I think this manager gave you a crazy excuse. I've never given BK (because of the fries) but the excuse that guy gave you is infuriating. I'd have more respect if he would just say the burger is mostly bread crumbs. I think the refusal to serve Danny a plain burger is discrimination. You should be the one to decide if the recycled box is suitable or not not some idiot fast food manager. Which Burger King was this? << By the way, I was prompted to ask only because this same location refused to serve me a burger without the bun. Guest guest
Jacki, thanks! I didn't know that about the BK fries, yikes. Luckily I just hate my local BK and we avoid it like the plague for other reasons so we haven't had them in a long time. McD's on the other hand.... I'll look into the frosting issue, Jacki. I need to make good cupcakes soon anyway. JoAnne irafog@... wrote: > Just want to correct any misconceptions that BK fries are GFCF. Guest guest
Mc's did not refuse us when we asked for that, the burger without the bun. Thats ridiculous. Of course, then proceeded to eat my chicken nuggets when I wasn't looking so that blew the diet for the day but at least I didn't have an argument from behind the counter...
