Guest guest
Hi all, Haven't written or kept up for a while, I had full vestibulectomy in March of this year and am recovering well, aside from the few remaining affected areas in the clitoral region that we are working on with laser therapy. Just wanted to say that I have had great luck with vaginal dilators after some unsuccesful PT that focused too heavily on kegels for me. The dilators I can use at home whenever and give me a great sense of progress-and really force me to push past the pain in order to relax. Plus, it is MUCH easier to tell when I am doing it myself that the pain is from tight muscles and not from any lingering vestibulitis in that area-that has definetely cleared up, though it took about 6 months and I am just now starting to move towards being " normal " down there. Am starting PT in the same hospital as the OB/GYN specialist who did the surgery, so I expect more success with her. Good luck to you all!
