Guest guest
Last night my wife and I attempted intercourse. She applied a heavy dose of 5% Lidocaine about 5-10 min before we hopped into bed. Things went okay in that we can have penetration and limited movement for a short while, but eventually she gets a pain deep in her vagina. She says it is almost like a pulled muscle between her buttocks and belly (internal central pelvis, if that makes sense). Anybody sharing those symptoms get a diagnosis of what it could be? She has had vulvar vestibulitis and may still. Her vulvar skin was very irritated. Since switching to hypoallergenic soaps and using Esterace, the skin is much better and appears normal. She is also on nortryptaline, I think, but she doesn't believe that has helped. I think she might still get pain with a Q-tip test though. She had electrostim and PT for a number of months but it was discontinued as her therapist wasn't able to make any progress beyond a certain point. She was referred back to her Gyn for surgery, but we want to make sure we have tried everything else for the symptoms she has. It seems that we are so close but what she experiences is just enough to make sex an unpleasant experience for her. Roque
